Our focus as we close October and enter the holidays
Every customer. Every team member. Every single time.
Before a guest takes their first bite, we have an opportunity to make them feel welcome. As they leave, we have another opportunity to make them feel appreciated.
Warm welcomes and gracious goodbyes are our biggest team focus as we close out October and head into the holiday months. We want every person who walks through our doors to feel seen, valued, and genuinely welcomed.
Every team member shares responsibility for this. Whether you’re working the register, preparing an order, or passing through the dining room, look up when it’s safe, make eye contact, and offer a friendly acknowledgment. Don’t assume someone else has already taken care of the welcome.
Keep it natural and sincere. A smile, a kind tone, and a few thoughtful words can make a difference. There is no need for a rehearsed chorus or to interrupt a guest’s conversation. The goal is genuine hospitality, including for pickup guests and delivery drivers.
Let’s make sure every guest arrives to a warm welcome and leaves with a gracious goodbye. Small moments of care give people a reason to return.

Learning to lead, together
All of our managers recently came together for a leadership workshop to learn, connect, and grow. It was an opportunity to step away from the daily rush, share perspectives, and think about how we can better support our teams and one another.
The work continues in the everyday moments: setting clear expectations, explaining the why, listening with respect, recognizing effort, and coaching with care.
Thank you to every manager who attended and participated. We appreciate your willingness to learn and bring that learning back to your restaurants.

New on the menu
We’re launching three Smash Burgers, each bringing its own personality to the menu. Take a look at the lineup and get ready to learn the builds so we can serve them with consistency and pride.
Our original starts with a 3-ounce beef patty, smashed and mustard-seared, with a sprinkle of Adobo con Sazón. American cheese, dill pickle chips, and Dragon Sauce finish the burger on a toasted bun. A bold, satisfying introduction to the HBG Smash lineup.
A 3-ounce beef patty gets a sprinkle of jerk seasoning and a mustard sear, then comes together with American cheese, dill pickle chips, caramelized onions, Jerk BBQ Sauce, and five cooked fries tucked into a toasted bun. Big jerk flavor with an HBG twist.
A 3-ounce beef patty, seasoned with a sprinkle of Adobo con Sazón and mustard-seared, is topped with American cheese, fresh jalapeño slices, caramelized onions, and Spicy White Sauce on a toasted bun. A little heat, creamy sauce, and plenty of flavor.
Training
Our Smash Burger training video will walk you through the preparation and assembly of all three burgers. Once it’s available, please take time to watch and connect with your manager about any questions before preparing the new items.

A little holiday comfort is coming
We’re bringing comforting holiday flavors to the HBG menu with a special bowl featuring creamy white cheddar mac and cheese, green beans, roasted sweet potatoes, and Persian lemon chicken, finished with cranberry pomegranate compote and crispy, thinly sliced fried onions.
It’s a warm, colorful combination with savory flavor, a little sweetness, and a satisfying crunch. We’re excited to share it with our guests this holiday season.

Knowing what our guests see online helps us answer questions, point them in the right direction, and connect their digital experience with the hospitality they receive in our restaurants.
Gift cards are here
Gift cards are now available on our website, and we’ll be promoting them throughout the holiday season.
They’re an easy way for guests to share a favorite meal, thank someone, or give a little everyday joy. Please familiarize yourself with where guests can find them online so you feel comfortable helping when questions come up.
Catering: an opportunity we can grow together
We’ve also been testing catering, and the holidays are a great time to keep that opportunity in mind. Office lunches, team celebrations, family gatherings, and community events can introduce Halal Bros Grill to more people and help our business grow.
If a guest mentions an upcoming gathering or asks about feeding a group, please connect them with your manager so we can explore how to help. Thoughtful conversations, reliable preparation, and the same care we bring to everyday orders can make a lasting impression.
